Himalayan Trek - 2 - Kedarkantha

Kedarkantha is a perfect blend of adventure, natural beauty and cultural richness. Whether you are a seasoned trekker or a beginner, the Kedarkantha trek offers an unforgettable experience with its captivating views, serene environment, and the thrill of summiting a Himalayan peak. It’s a journey that promises not just physical accomplishment but also spiritual rejuvenation amidst the grandeur of the Himalayas.

Key Features:

Kedarkantha Summit: The Kedarkantha peak stands at an elevation of about 12,500 feet above sea level. The trek to the summit is around 20 kilometers, starting from the base village of Sankri. The summit offers a panoramic view of the snow-clad Himalayan ranges, including Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black Peak.

Charming Villages: The trek passes through quaint villages like Sankri and Juda Ka Talab, where trekkers can experience the traditional lifestyle of the local communities. These villages, with their rustic charm, offer a glimpse into the rich culture and hospitality of the region.

Scenic Beauty: The trek is renowned for its stunning landscapes, which include dense pine and oak forests, open meadows, and snow-covered paths. During winter, the entire trail is blanketed in snow, adding to the magical experience. The clear night skies during the trek are perfect for stargazing.

Juda Ka Talab: A picturesque lake en route to the summit, Juda Ka Talab is a serene spot surrounded by thick forests and offers a peaceful retreat for trekkers. The lake often freezes during the winter, creating a surreal and tranquil environment.
